After I was invited to do a phone screen I was asked to do cognitive and behavioral assessments before the call (I have never been asked to do that for any other DS position I have interviewed for). The results of those tests were never discussed with anyone I spoke with.
Phone screen was followed by technical/panel interview with HM and someone from Teligence - more on that below.
During the phone screen I was informed that the role, while advertised as a Data Scientist at Neon would actually be also working for Teligence (some kind of sister company to Neon??) which is an adult chat line. I found it very off-putting that this information about the role was not disclosed in the original ad and it raised red flags about what this company really does, who would I actually be working for etc. Even if the people I interacted with seemed reasonable enough, this lack of corporate transparency was really concerning and I felt manipulated into interviewing for a job for a company I didn't even know (to say nothing of whether or not I would want to work for such a company).
