NetEase Games Montréal interview questions

I first met with the HR recruiter followed by an interview with the person who would be my boss as well as someone who I would be working closely with. Both conversations went well and were engaging. The team was very nice. Ultimately, I was rejected but I was given feedback as to why.

I had a 30 minute call with HR rep who is based in China, the call was at 930pm my local time on Monday Night. A little while after completing the interview, I followed up and received a message from the external recruiter that they are still evaluating candidates. Nearly 1 month later to the day, I find out I have not been selected and only because someone else declined the role. While that is disappointing, it shows that NetEase and HR Rep do not care about the candidate experience or updating candidates in a reasonable time frame. If someone else was able to progress all the way through to offer, then surely in that 1 month period, I could have been informed i was not selected. I had followed up with External Recruiter during that month and was continually told the same thing, they are still talking with candidates. Overall, I am very disappointed by their lack of communication and terrible candidate experience.
