I would strongly recommend you steer clear of this employer. I was asked to phone interview while I was on the road for another interview in Chicago. I agreed to do this and since they had poor technology and were unable to make a conference call work, I had to set it up myself and pay for it. Afterwards, I was asked to drive to Benton Harbor for an in person interview since I was only a few hours away in Chicago. I was asked to meet at 5:00 p.m for a dinner/inertview with the owner. The owner disparagingly of her own employees and pledged to rid her company of the union that started shortly after she took control of the company. She offered to pay for my hotel. I asked if she had any special rate or direct bill at a local hotel. She said she did not, so I mentioned I would attempt to get a few hours of driving in and get a hotel on the way back home. When I submitted my expense statement, I was told by her recruiter/assistant that I would only get paid $25 since that is how much they paid for a local hotel. I would get nothing for mileage or my meal on the way back, an 8 hour drive by the way (over 300 miles).. When I protested, I recieved an email message from her recruiter/assistant the next day saying I would not get my $25. This company lacks integrity and I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.
