I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at New York Times
Interview
Applied to a role and than heard back after a month. Had a recruiter screen and then a combined call with the manager and staff engineer. Than a 4 part panel interview. It consists of a technical interview, a systems design and two culture fit interviews. Spoke with the recruiter prior to these but there were inconsistencies in what they described would happen during the tech coding and what happened during my call. My interviewers seemed uninterested and could not answer basic questions such as what projects the role would work on. After completing the panel interviews, I was also strung on for two plus weeks and only after I inquired about my application, I was informed that I was rejected. Really disappointed by their process.

15 minute recruiter call (informational, make sure to let them know if there are other roles you're interested in at the company as they could be a recruiter for that role as well), 30 min hiring manager, 30 minute technical
