I applied online via LinkedIn and was contacted by HR for a phone screen about a week later. A phone interview with the hiring managers soon followed. The phone interview was very short and easy leading me to assume that the majority of the hard hitting questions would be asked during the in person interview. However, the in person interview was a joke as far as how easy it was. There were no serious questions asked about my background or transferable skills. The interviewers were very nice and professional, but I got the feeling I wasn't truly being considered for the position.
Now, about three weeks out, I have heard nothing back (my follow up email to HR was ignored) but have seen that job has been reposted with a slightly different title. Overall, it seems like the team changed their mind on what they wanted halfway through the interview process and did not convey that to job seekers. I have no problem accepting I was not a fit for the job, but I find it pretty rude that no one bothered to follow up and tell me as much.
Looking at it now, I feel like I've dodged a bullet. A company which holds job candidates in such poor regard probably doesn't treat their employees too well.
