I originally applied via LinkedIn. After around two weeks I was contacted and I was given a time schedule. Once I scheduled my interview, I was contacted by phone about what to expect. Following the phone interview, I had an in-person interview, about my resume, skills, background, and asked hypothetical accounting questions.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Newgistics (Austin, TX) in June 2017
Interview
The interview consisted of 3-4 steps. First one was just screening and general conversation. The second - some very generic tech conversation with brief description of project and tech stack. Then - coding exercise (2-3 days). And final technical interview with team lead and architect.

Develop PoC of application which can consume streams of events (JSON), store them to some kind of cache and then get any event by id. Main focus - on performance (events per sec)
The company recently got acquired by pitney bowes. Got a call from recruiter at pitney bowes based in CT, had a brief chat about the role and my background. Later told me that she would schedule a call with the hiring manger, but that never happened, called recruiter back in couple of days and left voice mail but never got any response. Highly unprofessional behavior! At least have the decency to pick up the call or don't waste other's time.
