      Financial Controller Interview

      5 May 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Nexans

      Interview

First step with a recruiter from the HQ, basic questions on my work experience. Second step with several finance managers. Classic interview but they were much more interested in my defaults than in my skills? I was definitely not convinced but passed the interview successfully and agreed to go one step further to meet the HR manager. The interview went well but I was still not convinced by the people I had met so my intention was to not continue the recruitment process. It was a good decision: they never contacted me again (when you take the time to go through several steps in a process, giving a feedback/answer is basic politeness). Finally, one year later, a recruiter contacted me because they were opening another position 1000km from my home. I refused.

      Question 1

Classic questions : describe your work experience, give us 3 defaults... stereotyped and not inspiring at all.
