      Data Analyst/Scientist Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Nexo in June 2021

      Interview

Overall, I had a bad experience with Nexo's recruitment process. They were not punctual while expecting candidates to be timely and reliable. The whole process had four (4) stages. It took ~2months with no final answer, which was strange, considering I reached the final stage of the interview. Even after sending a kind reminder, Nexo ignored me. The interview process started well with a recommendation from the recruitment team to consider another position more relevant to my experience. Following a short talk with HR about myself, what I am looking for, the company etc., I should have received an email with the next steps. Due to a mistake when typing my email address (strangely not copying it), they sent it to the wrong address. Nevertheless, we fixed the issue, and I had my second interview with the team leader. The communication was on point, talking about the position, responsibility as well as checking my knowledge. After the talk, they said that I would receive an assignment (technical interview). This time, I got the email with the task. The due date was three (3) days considering it was sent late Friday and submitted by Monday. Upon completion, the company notified me that by the end of the week, I would receive their feedback. Of course, this was not the case, as it took the company a whopping one (1) month to get back to me. Finally, when Nexo contacted me (after a month), they apologised for the delay, explaining their reasons (e.g. 'on leave'). Yet, they expressed their thoughts, saying they enjoyed my work and would like to continue to the final stage. We talked about the assignment, my methodology, my future, and they said that by the end of the week, I would get their final decision. It was already Friday morning when I received a call from HR and a third-party recruiter (through who I have not applied) asking about my salary expectations. Nexo said 'alright' to my answer and that, again, by the end of the day, they would call me back. Fast forward, I did not receive any call that day. I even called them back next week, but no one picked up. One week later, I decided to drop an update email which once again was neglected.
