      Quantitative Financial Analyst Interview

      20 June 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Ontario, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Niagara Bottling (Ontario, CA) in June 2018

      Interview

The process was straightforward. I applied through linkedin and received a call from a recruiter a few days later. She was me why I was interested in the position and what I knew about Niagara. When the interview was over she gave me a case study to demonstrate that I would be able to do a sample of the work needed for the job. ( You could do it on Python or R). I created a nice report on R and returned it to her the same night. Was contacted about 2 weeks after for an on-site interview. I had a panel interview consisting of different Sr. department members that would be giving me data to model. The interview lasted about 2 hours. I was ask behavior questions. I felt one of the interviewers came off a bit rude and asked me questions that were so similar it was hard to answer. I followed the STAR format. Finally, I had an interview with the Sr. Quant who asked me a range of technical questions ranging from statistical analysis to some basic SQL (query) questions. I was told I would be contacted in a week but the VP was out and he decision took a while. Over the course of a month I continued to receive frequent updates that the decision was still pending to finally be told that the position was filled internally.
