Interviewed with the manager of the pub in the morning, before the pub opened. Asked about experience in the industry, put on trial and training with more experienced bartender, asked about any other prior commitments (school, children, etc.) and how to properly lift heavy objects (like a keg or case of beer).

Quick informal chat in the pub before opening hours with the assistant manager, who was very friendly, gave me a trial shift at the end of the process, after which I was offered the job.
Efficient and proactive process with an active listening approach to my specifications. The recruiter made a constructive effort to find the right location and was great with her communication. I wasn’t successful with the initial role I applied for, but I felt that I was treated well and a role better suited in terms of location etc was sourced.
