I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nimbus Data in Mar 2020
Interview
Started with a phone interview with the engineering director, who is based offshore. Questions mostly technical, in terms of SAN/NAS experience, benchmarking software like fio and Quest, programming skills etc. The role is a support engineer but free cycles would be spent doing QA. Company does not outsource support - and all customers get premium support so the support team needs to be very technical.

Which enterprise storage products have you supported previously, and what was your most difficult support situation?
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nimbus Data in Aug 2013
Interview
The interview experience was relatively straight forward. I was asked about storage as well as my specialty that was looking to be filled. Most of the in depth questions were related to that so if you are going in with a skill set that is needed you better have that knowledge. Also realize that the person that is interviewing you might think that they know the answers but those might just be from a book not practical knowledge. It is kind of like taking a MS exam you have to know what they want to hear

There really wasn't a difficult question during my intake no one wasted my time with anything off the wall.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nimbus Data
Interview
I interviewed with the hiring manager and thought it went pretty well. He then scheduled a follow up interview with the CEO and that meeting was blown off 3 different times. Each time the hiring manager apologized and rescheduled the call. I felt sorry for him because I knew he was trying to manage the situation the best he could. This was a huge warning sign to me!
