Interview
Panel interview with about five medical professionals and supervisors, multiple case scenarios (about 5 or 6), interpreting labs (3 or 4), diagnosing, assessing, plan/treatment, follow-up, how to deal with difficult families. Interview lasted about one hour.
The interview process consisted of a lot of appointments in separate places following job acceptance. The initial interview with management is followed by a health exam, security appointments and classes.

I applied online in early December. Interviewed today , negative experience. I interviewed with both an NP (who was kind), and the doctor who runs the clinic. The doctor blatantly told she does not hire new grads, which left me confused and surprised as my resume clearly states I am a new grad NP. She then told me to look elsewhere to get experience under my belt and started to name hospitals. Very unprofessional and total disrespect to me and my time. The NP offered to forward my resume to other departments that may be looking to hire which I thanked her for. Unfortunately after this experience, I will not take anything that is offered to me at that specific campus. I work for Northwell as an RN and am just taken aback by this.

It was a lengthy process. There were many people interviewing. Long story short I did not get the job. It is very competitive. You have to come in on your A game and don’t show any signs of weakness.
