The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (New York, NY) in July 2011
Interview
I completed an initial informational phone conversation, followed by an extensive Skills/Personality Test. I was then contacted by the recruiter, who informed me I my test results were great. We scheduled an hour-long phone interview, where the recruiter told me all about Northwestern and the work I would do. I was asked about my background, goals, strengths, weaknesses, and I had a chance to ask the recruiter anything. Then I was brought in for 2 separate 1:1 interviews. The first of which was a condenesed version of the phone interview with the recruiter, and the second was with a person who discussed market potential. I am still in the (lengthy)interview process. Everything was essentially what I expected, and their expectations for success are high.

Question 1
In the past, how have you dealt with failure. Be specific.
There were four or five interviews, if you count the meeting with my future mentor. There were also a few personality assessments. Lots of paperwork. The finance industry is tightly regulated.
The first interview was easygoing and went fairly well. We talked a little on myself and what northwestern was all about. Because they wanted to see how I could fit in to their team and what I would bring.
I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Greenville, SC)
Interview
The process was smooth and straight forward. A lot of behavioral based questions, but relaxed and low stress. First phase is a phone screening followed by a teams or in person meeting.
