I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Scottsdale, AZ) in Dec 2011
Interview
The entire interview process consisited of one phone interview and 3 in person interviews. The phone interview is more of a formality to set up a time to meet with youe. The first interview is your standard interview where they get to know you and want to see what you bring to the table. If you receive an offer for the second interview you will have one networking assignment to complete, the interview will mostly be an informational meeting where they pitch the top-ten internship to you. The third interview requires the most work, you have to come in with atleast ten completed surveys that you have had other people fill out aswell as a presentation that not only shows why you would be a good addition to the program but why you like the company and specifically this internship program. It should be noted that if you had a good interview they will more than likely ask you to come back for the next interview at the end of your current interview.
