I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Notch (Ramat Gan) in June 2026
Interview
The organizational culture felt off based on my interview experience. After being told I didn't pass, I asked the recruiter for constructive feedback. I was told they had no specific feedback and were impressed with my personality and professionalism, but they simply wanted a 'more senior' candidate. This felt completely contradictory and unhelpful, as it implied the decision was based on age/years alive rather than my actual qualifications or performance. Be prepared for potentially vague or discouraging feedback regarding 'seniority' if you interview here.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Notch in Nov 2020
Interview
I was contacted by the recruiter about this opportunity at ChefHero and the process began with a phone screen. I had 2 interview rounds in total.
The first one, phone screen was with a Technical Lead that included a small coding question. I could easily finish it off and then received a take-home assignment which was a frontend React question. I was given enough time to do it and revert.
Then moved onto the next round - the Technical interview with the Tech Lead and the VP at ChefHero. This one took very long, ~ 4 hours to be precise. I can only say that it didn't feel so long at all as there were so many interesting ideas exchanged, in depth technical discussions.
This round had general behavioral questions, web dev questions, a schema design question, feedback and more questions/complexities added to the take home assignment.
Then it was just a couple of days after which I received offer from ChefHero for the Sr. Full Stack Developer role.
The entire interview process conducted by the recruiter, Anahita Katila was very seamless, always in touch with me to answer any questions or concerns.
