      Operations Interview

      17 June 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nyman Associates in May 2025

      Interview

It was easy to set up the first phone screening, but took 3 weeks to have an answer about next steps. The interview went positively, but when salary expectations were mentioned the tone changed a bit (their benchmarked salary was around 10k less than what I would consider to be reasonable for the role). The scope of the admin/ops role was very broad and sounded like it involved a lot of oversight spanning multiple domains (recruiting, supervision, staffing, client relationship management) that aligned more closely with a manager level position instead of a mid-level position. I have worked in the industry before, and it is unfortunately common for agencies to have ill defined admin/ops positions that combine multiple roles into one position and are benchmarked at a lower level role title in order to save on operational fixed costs. The benefits package did not sound impressive.
