      Application

The process took 3 days. I interviewed at NØIE in June 2021

      Interview

Never had such an uncomfortable and disrespectful experience in my life. I'm from Latin America and sent my application with my CV and my cover letter( where you can see that I'm currently in Latin America, not Europe). Had email feedback telling me that I had an interesting profile and that they wanted to have a call with me. I've studied the company, prepare a presentation among other things. 10 minutes before the call they send me an email asking if I'm applying from Denmark or not cause they don't want to accept remote applications, what is ok by me but why didn't they told me that before I spend time and create expectations and prepare for a call? I’ve been working for companies all across the globe and when one company doesn’t want remote candidates they just don’t send emails scheduling a call. Of course, doesn't make sense. Ok, mistakes happens I told myself. Sent them a email back telling that I have experience working for companies across the globe, that I have a high internet connection and a lot of experience with communication software, and that would be nice if they considerate. They don't answer to me. So I get on the call with a really sad face and they said that they just read my email but they want someone in Denmark for the job, the youngest guy( they didn't even introduce themselves) asked me if was possible to me to move to Denmark, while the older guys laugh. Yes, that's right, laugh. I was not laughing, I was sad and disappointed. I answered that it was impossible at this time to move to Denmark because of covid.Just a few countries are accepting flights from Brazil. Denmark it's none one of them. What did the older guy? Laugh! What is so funny Sr? That my country is losing 3000 people per day because of this disease? Or because I'm a very good professional stuck in CAOS and I'm not able to show my good work because of a pandemic? Or because you can see my really really sad face and that somehow makes you laugh? Or Because someone from a 3rd world country it's trying to work with an1st world company? Please, like I'm worse just because where I'm from. I Don't get it. Hang up the call almost crying because it was bizarre. I really hope that the company be aware of this and don't do that anymore. Worse experience of my professional life, and again I have 10 years of experience.
