First round was a Teams call with HR. Without any prior warning this was a competency based interview which was recorded. Second round was a Teams call with the two hiring managers and this was a pleasant chat through my cv. Following this I received multiple phone calls from HR over the course of the week informing me I was the preferred candidate for the role. Then nothing. No offer was ever made. After multiple follow up attempts I have accepted that HR is ghosting me. HR should avoid using misleading language in the future and should have the courage to inform candidates they were not successful. Ghosting is not appropriate in any situation, but is completely unacceptable in the professional working world.
