BE AWARE! (Interview to take insights from the market for free)
They take your ideas and insights on what to do in the market and eventually say to you: "We will move forward with another candidate."
I was in the process of this position. After 3 steps (a phone call and two interviews, one with HR and the other with the Country manager), they invited me for a final phase. It consists of a Sales Role Play and a presentation verbally and PowerPoint, named "Strategic Go To Market plan for the first 6 months," containing:
- Account/market categorization and prioritization in the market.
- Sales strategy, sales forecast, sales team, profiles, distribution, and commercial channels I would use.
- Potential new clients, what kind of support I would need from other departments, suggested marketing channels (fairs, events, others) ideally in detail.
-OKRs and KPIs I would use to measure progress, KPIs, and sales objectives I'd set for each area.
At the end of this step, I received compliments for the ideas, and I was asked to send my presentation by email to them. And yes, I did it confident that I was almost there... I was naive!
So they asked for one more interview to present the same GTM and perform the same Sales Role Play again, now with the CCO.
After five meetings, many ideas, insights, and information from the market shared; one day after the last meeting, I received an email with a generic reject.
Also, during the interviews, they informed me they do not have a legal business registration in the country, and the KAM should invoice and proceed with legal arrangements with the clients (super weird...)
