I recently participated in a virtual interview process that began with a casual meet-and-greet session with a peer. We discussed our shared interests and experiences. Following that, I met with the hiring manager. While the initial conversation was lighthearted, the hiring manager quickly shifted focus to my people management skills. They asked about my experience leading teams, handling conflicts, and coaching employees. There were only a few technical questions, primarily focused on understanding my overall approach to problem-solving.
