Written test and then an interview by a 3 person panel. The panel included a combination of knowledge and competency-based questions. There was also a case-study element to the questions.
Panel interview and each interview takes turns to ask questions. Mostly behavioral questions and some technical questions. Overall I had a good experience throughout the interview. Be sure to give specific examples on your past experience.

Question 1
Please describe how you handle a difficult situation
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at OSFI in Jan 2023
Interview
I applied in mid-December and got a response in mid-January for an interview for the following week. The initial e-mail gave me an outline on the topics that they were going to interview on as well as guided and detailed next steps on what to expect. On the day of the interivew, they sent me the interview questions 30 minutes in advance of the session and allotted 60 minutes. This was super helpful as it gave me time to gather my thoughts and ensured I can articulate my points well. It was an interview with the hiring manager, a potential colleague and another person of their trusted choice. I had a positive experience and they were friendly. They said the next steps were to either be an offer or no offer. I really appreciated their lean approach on the hiring process and was pleasantly surprised at the timing and swiftness of the entire experience.

Question 1
I am not allowed to share the interview questions but they were scenario based examples as well as behavioural. As a tip - I would spend a lot of time understanding OSFI, reading their blueprint and their values. That should give you an idea on what talent they're trying to reach and appeal to. Good luck!
