The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Odessa (Sūlūr) in Apr 2017
Interview
After an online programming test in my college I was called for a face to face interview in Odessa Technologies, Bangalore. There were 2 technical rounds. Interviewer was friendly but the questions were too hard. CTC was 4.5 lakhs.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions from Data structures, Operating system and computer networks were asked!
I applied through university. I interviewed at Odessa (Bengaluru) in Aug 2017
Interview
I was shortlisted from campus selection process for an onsite interview. Even though I was finally rejected, I personally feel that interviewers were not that skilled or maybe my particular interviewer was feeling sleepy! He asked me an sql query for a given situation and I said I am not confidant in sql. To this he said in a frustrated tone that I have an Oracle certification, then how can I refuse to write an Oracle SQL query? I felt bad, not about myself but about his limited ability to read things in a CV. In the certifications section he saw Oracle word somewhere and assumed that it is an Oracle SQL certification. Java was clearly mentioned there but he choose to ignore that. Anyway, I explained him what an Oracle Certification is and you can have it in different domains like java, sql, cloud etc. Rest of the interview went normal with oops concepts, a coding question and a situational decision making problem at the end. I expected him to dig deep into data structures and algorithms but he couldn't ask anything beyond simple linked list and there wasn't even a single algorithm question even though I told him thrice that I love algorithms!!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Tell me about yourself.
2. OOPS concepts and their practical implementation examples from real life.
3. SQL queries
4.simple constructor overloading code
5.pseudo code to implement 2-way lift in a 4-floor building (this i felt really difficult to code and explain to him because he gave only 5 mins for that)
Dont worry about data structures and algorithms because they will go maximum to linked list and they probably hate algorithms or don't know any! Best of luck!
