I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Oklahoma State University (Stillwater, OK) in June 2021
Interview
I went to find my current PI who was a professor of the food microbiology class I took during my undergraduate and asked for an opportunity to be a master's student in his lab. He didn't accept me at first time but instead, he talked about his future research plan for his master's candidates. He was really passionate about his research and willing to teach me the research concepts clearly. He was really understanding when I said I need some financial help with this program while I didn't have previous lab experience. I am so grateful that he accepted me to his lab with sponsership.
