      Sales Interview

      6 Sept 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Omnicommander

      Interview

Dishonest. They said they were going to offer me a salary near where I demanded. They Did not. They said I would be VP of Banking Sales, Got an offer for Senior Sales Executive instead. They said they would remove the non-compete as I have 15 years expeience selling marketing services to banks. They did not. When I told them I was going to sign the noncompete but cross out the clause about leaving involuntary (being fired) and marketing companies. They said fine. Sent them my executed offer with the revised non-compete. The next business day they rescinded the offer via email. No phone call or text, no counter offer to resolve our differences. Perhaps, the most unprofesional thing I have seen in my twenty plus years in the Industry. The CEO appears to want to hire someone to play paintball with instead of someone who is an actual sales professional. The CEO is also relecutant to have his sales staff travel because he does not want to pay for the costs associated with business travel. (which is a big mistake in banking) He also does not want to hire remote employees even for field sales (why? the entire industry remote now?) He is looking for employees with no experience who are willing to work cheap. Basically, he is looking for lottery tickets, hoping to find someone who is talented and will work for little money and support. If they are this dishonest and cheap with their employees, just imagine how they treat their customers. They also have a terrible reputation among other vendors in the Banking Industry, mostly due to the obnoxiousness of their CEO. And the postive reviews of their company on this site are almost certainly fake, which is probably the biggest red flag of a sea of red flags. Stay far away
