Applied online for a junior level position.
Got a call from an internal recruiter talking about a mid level position. I informed them that I had applied for a junior level position.
I was given 2 take home coding challenges which I completed and was moved on to the next round which involved a mix of debugging some code and some pretty esoteric C# questions. I did not perform particularly well in this round.
Got an email saying I wasn't quite up to the mid-level expectations.
Again, I had applied for a junior level position...

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review about your recent interview.
The 'Technical Interview' stage of our recruitment process has been created to assess the technical abilities of candidates at all levels – Junior, Mid-level or Senior. We look for different things depending on the level of the role that the candidate is applying for. It appears that there may have been a mistake in the reply email you received, as to the level of the role, and we apologise for this confusion. We can confirm that your coding test was reviewed against the level you applied for (Junior).
We thank you for applying for a role at DCSL GuideSmiths, and welcome you to re-apply in the future.
