The "interview" process was all via email. In fact, I'm not sure I even progressed to the actual interview part of the whole application process. I applied through Internsg, and they emailed me back asking for my full resume, portfolio, as well as a short video introduction of myself answering 2 questions they provided. After I sent that, they got back to me and asked me to fill up an application form with all the details ranging from employment history, to family members' background, to past major medical illnesses, personal details such as address, IC number, etc.
The next reply from them was them telling me that they would contact me IF I was shortlisted. I was taken aback because I was under the impression that I was already in the confirmation stage after sending every single detail and contact information about my life.
Later on, they clarified that there are actually 3 rounds of shortlisting before the final confirmation. I had only made it to the first round of shortlisting.
I didn't get the internship after all, which makes me feel like I gave away all of my personal information to a bunch of strangers to analyze for nothing. I feel like the application form should only be completed once the position has been confirmed.
