We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with our interviewing process. We obviously don't want anybody to feel that way, and we apologize that our process didn't meet your expectations. When we are interviewing candidates (even on pre-interview call), it is our goal to try to understand a candidate's goals, motivations, and personality. By learning about the candidate in these areas, we are better able to establish whether the candidate is going to fit into our company culture and whether we feel she or he is going to be happy and successful in the role.
We obviously want every individual who comes to work for us to be happy and feel good about the work he or she is doing. Learning about an individual goals, motivations, and personality can sometimes make for a longer conversation (even on a pre-interview phone call) and the questions we ask can sometimes feel very in-depth. We also know that it is critical that the candidate feels the role is a fit for them and for that reason we are always happy to spend time answering questions about the company or discussing the requirements of the role. Once again - we apologize that you didn't feel good about the interview process.
