I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Open Doors for Multicultural Families (Kent, WA) in July 2023
Interview
Straightforward and simple. The entire process consisted of three phone calls and one on-site visit.
First phone call was just a quick chat with the HR Manager to talk a bit about the position and my background. Second call was a virtual interview which consisted of 2 interviewers - the hiring manager and the HR manager (which to be honest I thought was pretty odd. I was a little taken aback at how involved the HR Manager was involved in the entire interview process. This was the first place I've ever interviewd where the HR Manager played such a large part in the interviews.)
Third was the on-site visit - this was more of a formality as I was already told that I had secured the job offer before the on-site visit. I think they wanted me to visit the facility to make sure there were no surprises for either party when meeting in person.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Being a fit culturally is very important in this organization. There were several questions which were asked in order to see if I would be a good fit culturally in the organization, and that I was aligned with their mission, vision and values.
