I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at OpenAI (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2024
Interview
Was very friendly, very difficult at the same time. You must really prepare for this one if you want to suceed. Great company and great people. AI is the future and OpenAi will be the leader
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at OpenAI
Interview
HR/Talent interview was great - one of the best I've had. No fluff, direct questions about my experience and how I could add value.
2nd interview with a Peer was terrible. He came across tired, disinterested - yawning multiple times - and asked basic questions. OpenAi is unique as they don't pay commission - straight base salary. I wanted to understand how I'm KPI'd, what Quota retirement looks like, the sales engagement process etc. he wasn't able to answer these questions.
