      Interview

      The interview process consisted of a recruiter screen, a team member interview, an assignment to build a Customer Success plan for a ChatGPT Enterprise customer with a video presentation, a live review of the plan with a team member, and a final round of four interviews over two hours. Most interviewers were straightforward but friendly. However, my last interviewer, who I believe was the hiring manager (although this was never clarified by the recruiter despite my inquiries), came across as quite dismissive and uninterested, which was off-putting and left a negative impression. Overall, the process was mostly fine, but it felt very impersonal and lacked a sense of genuine engagement as no one really tried to get to know me as a person. It seems the company may have developed a certain level of detachment due to its reputation, and perhaps will adopt a more human approach to its interactions when reality hits.

      Initial conversation was fairly easy. Second conversation was with VP of success and fairly deep into skills and experience. Third round was quite technical in creating and setting up an Agent in ChatGPT solving client need. Felt more like an application for a TAM than a CSM

      Interview

      First stage was a pre-recorded presentation of a given task, then 1:1 with a team member, then 4 back-to-back interviews with other colleagues, each focusing on a different topic (1 technical, 1 on values etc). Some interviewers were engaged and friendly while others clearly had no interest in talking to me which was offputting. In general, there was minimal small talk and they fire question after question at you so it feels more like a test than a conversation. The challenge definitely made me better at interviewing in general, but it was a pretty intense process and, I imagine, reflects the working culture at OpenAI.
