Interview
Applied online. Interviewed onsite after a regular technical phone screen. The interview includes 3 pair programing sessions and one whiteboard design discussion. There's no whiteboard coding quiz usually seen in big companies.
Each pair session takes about an hour, covers the day to day work of a Data Scientist here. Sessions include general coding and algorithms, exploratory data analysis, and predictive modeling. I haven't done any pair programming before interview here. It feels stressful in the beginning, but turns out to be a quite enjoyable experience. It's more like explore a data set and tackle the modeling problem with a colleague.
Interviewer and management I met here strike me of a group of nice and competent people.

Whiteboard design: previous experience, and a open end discussion on a Business Intelligence challenge here.
I attended their interview and I saw the long term vision of that company and bright future too, that was perfect experience, and I am investing this company alot too, i hop they sail well throught the wave of doubt

Interview
The first interview was with a recruiter. I gave him an overview of the work I am performing in my current position and the recruiter gave me an overview of the interview process.
The second round was with a data scientist. The first half of the interview was describing a technical project I worked on, the challenges that arose and how I resolved it.
The second part of the interview consisted of sharing a notebook with you that has sample data. You then have to do some basic manipulation and talk about different statistical techniques. It was pretty straightforward but I forgot a few things on the spot and they decided to move forward with other candidates.

Describe a technical challenge you have solved at your current position.
Recruiter cancelled scheduled interview for "personal reasons" on Friday afternoon, then was all over the place on our eventual call.
Job was listed as Remote but recruiter acted shocked to learn I wasn't in SF, and I was told it wouldn't work unless I moved to one of their office locations. Highly unprofessional interactions, with the recruiter (DwN) talking about how he's basically traveling the world for "work from home" and then his questions were more probing than anything.
I can't think of any negative encounter I've had with recruiting that matched even a portion of this one. Declined to continue process after further scheduling issues--wouldn't want to be somewhere this careless about recruiting.
