I spoke with Ophelos as part of their interview process and was initially impressed by the company’s mission and the professionalism of the first conversation. The recruiter was engaging, clear about next steps, and indicated I would be progressing further.
After this point, communication effectively stopped. I was asked to provide availability for the next stage, but no confirmed meeting or update followed. Several weeks passed, the only subsequent contact was an automated feedback survey, which suggested the process had concluded without any direct communication to me as a candidate.
Given Ophelos’ emphasis on empathy and transparency, the lack of closure felt misaligned with the values they promote. Even a brief message to explain a delay, pause, or change in direction would have significantly improved the experience. Advice to management:
Ensure candidates receive clear updates and proper closure at each stage of the process. This not only reflects well on the company but also demonstrates respect for people’s time and effort.
