The interview process with Optimum/Altice was efficient, well-organized, and very respectful of my time. It began with an initial outreach from HR to set up a call where they clearly explained the role, confirmed details, and discussed my background in a helpful and transparent way. I was then given a take-home technical project that was interesting and challenging, and I appreciated being able to demonstrate my skills without the pressure of a live coding session. After submitting the project, I had a follow-up call with a developer to discuss my work and go over technical concepts, which felt more like a collaborative conversation than a test.
The next step was a call with the hiring manager, who provided more insight into the role and team, and discussed my experience in detail. During that conversation, another developer joined to ask additional technical questions and do a brief impromptu coding exercise. Even though we did not finish due to time constraints, they assured me they had seen enough. Later that same day, HR followed up to check in, discuss salary expectations and start timing, and shortly after I received an offer. I was genuinely impressed by how smoothly and quickly the process moved, especially given that it took place right before Christmas.
