      Business Development Representative (BDR) Interview

      9 Feb 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Origami Risk (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2023

      Interview

Honestly the worst interview process I’ve ever experienced. Recruiter was impossible to contact, wouldn’t hear from her for multiple days, and when she would finally respond her responses were short and disconnected. After the discovery call you have to take an SAT type test for the first round (50 questions in 15 minutes, weird questions that didn’t relate to the job or role at all, long math questions) , next round is a convo with whoever of their choosing. The person I interviewed with absolutely flew through the interview, didn’t seem personable at all, very evident he wasn’t writing my answers down, and then ended our interview extremely fast. Very disconnected and weird interview process, pretty evident their sales team is massively lacking in structure (no management, just team leads who are extremely under taught and way over their heads)

      Interview

Interview process was great! I had a few steps to complete with them, but felt as if they were very open about what paths you've taken prior to interviewing with them.

      Interview

It was a Relatively easy process and the team seemed nice. Seem to care about their employees. Some tough questions but nothing out of the ordinary. Believe I went through three rounds before they offered.
