I applied online. I interviewed at Origence (Ontario, CA) in June 2023
Interview
Once you pass the recruiter call, there is only one interview of one hour set up with the hiring manager and a software engineer. The interview was smooth, mostly asking questions from my resume and some basic questions about Python programming language (as I had said Python is my primary programming language). They also asked me if I was aware of the 4 values of Origence, what those are, and which one I align with the most. I said I align with the first value the most (Value team members and commit to their growth) as it promotes team spirit and a company can't function and achieve success without teamwork. They then asked me what I knew about Origence and to explain what Origence does in my own words. Apart from this, they asked me if I knew the procedure of buying a car which I could not answer very well as they were expecting me to know the entire loan-taking process before we buy a car. But they cut me some slack knowing that I was a student and might not have much knowledge of how to buy a car. Overall, the interview went pretty well and smooth and the interviewers were very kind.
Key is to prepare your own resume superbly well and read about the company, what it does, and its 4 values very well.
