I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Origin Materials (Sacramento, CA)
Interview
Extraordinarily exhaustive given the quality of company. Met with countless people, all the way up to the CEO. Everyone was pretty nice, except for the CEO, who was immediately rude and immature. Asked one question, which had no thought behind it, and was impossible to answer in a way that highlights your knowledge or experience. After meeting with the CEO, the recruiter who was frequently in contact with me went AWOL. Had to follow up twice to get a response, only to receive an automated decline. Followed up again to demand some sort of feedback given the amount of time I wasted on this company. In hindsight, clearly dodged a bullet given how much the company has tanked. My advice is to stay away, at least until the CEO is axed.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Pretty informal for the most part. Various team members asked about my experience and want you to connect the dots to the role. Other than the CEO, it was an ok experience.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Origin Materials in Apr 2022
Interview
I was contacted by an outside recruiter and once selected completely 3 or 4 rounds of interview with different people in the business. I inquired about the interview process and it appeared to be very extensive with 3-4 additional steps. I was ghosted at that point with no further contact or feedback.
