My résumé meets all the requirements of the position—and more. The recruiter, Glenda Rosa, emailed me with a few questions, and I responded. She then scheduled a phone interview. I was prepared for a proper conversation; however, the call was extremely brief—she only wanted to confirm whether I had a career break and why. I explained it was due to a relocation. She didn’t ask anything else. It felt as if my 15 years of professional experience were completely dismissed because of a two-year career break.
Since then, she hasn’t contacted me again. It’s been a month, and I haven’t received any follow-up.
