Pretty easy and straight foward. Typical interview questions such as why you are qualified for the role. Recruiter will check up on you from time to time during the process.
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Orlando Sentinel (Orlando, FL) in Apr 2016
Interview
Nearly three months after applying for a different position, I got an in person interview for a more entry level job. I was flown down and put up in a hotel for a two day interview process. I checked in later that month and heard nothing. Months later, I was told the job was frozen. When I checked in still a few months later, I got no reply. I don’t feel there’s any excuse for not responding to a job candidate in this scenario, when that person was flown down and spent hours in the newsroom.
I just heard that the paper is once again hiring a reporter. For all I know, my name is still in a pile.
Thank you for the review and the time you invested with our organization. Our commitment remains to ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the interview process. We appreciate your feedback and look to continuously improve.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Orlando Sentinel
Interview
Three steps. Contacted by HR and had a short preliminary phone interview with basic questions. Met with HR in person and talked about job history and what I could bring to the table. Met with department manager and sales reps and basically talked about myself and answered their questions related to my skills and the job description.
