I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Outset (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2026
Interview
The interview process was very thoughtful Had a really positive interview experience with Outset. The process was smooth from start to finish, well-organized, timely, and easy to navigate.
The onsite was what really stood out. Every person I spoke with was warm, welcoming, and clearly invested in making the conversation feel comfortable. It's the kind of environment where you walk out thinking, "I'd actually love to work here."
The kindness and professionalism of the team spoke volumes about the culture. 10/10 would recommend going through their process.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Outset (San Francisco, CA) in May 2025
Interview
Short 15 minute sync with founder, go over role and experience, this person was pleasant. Then had a technical interview with an uninterested employee. I wasn't properly prepared to build something complex over a video call and did not proceed.

I applied online. I interviewed at Outset (Clairemont, CA) in Aug 2016
Interview
It was a three day interview process. You basically meet with the director and it was a pretty fast interview, the 2nd interview requires you to go into a Costco to actually see what you are getting yourself into. The third interview is to talk more about what is required of you but they are also looking at another person so they will let you know. A few hours later I get the job offer but I didn't take it.
