      Excel VBA Developer Interview

      20 Nov 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at PIMCO (New York, NY) in May 2023

      Interview

I spent an hour talking to the hiring manager who was stationed in London. He was hiring for a contract job for work I have done for over 20 years. He said he needed someone for the New York City Office. During the interview, this manager referred to me as "middle aged". I am not sure why he made this EEOC violation, but, it had nothing to do with the job. The follow-up was that they hired someone else bc that person is willing to relocate to California. This is odd because the job was for a position in New York. Perhaps the EEOC should be engaged.
