I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PPG (Allison Park, PA) in June 2016
Interview
Take about 2 or 3 weeks to get back to me for onsite interview. The onsite interview is pretty intense from 8 am to 3pm. Starting with own research presentation, then five individual talks very intense almost none stop. Take me for a tour of their facility immediately after lunch. People are friendly, however did not get the offer. Informed about not being hired about a month after the onsite. Nice experience
I have a 45 minute technical presentation to a handful of people, technical interview with two people from the presentation, and then a behavioral interview with a couple additional people who were also at my talk
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at PPG in Aug 2017
Interview
After a phone interview I was brought to their research center for an on-site. The interview process there included a presentation by me, followed by individual interviews with five people (one in HR). Mostly it was the form of STAR interview questions, though one person ignored them entirely. Only negative part was post-interview follow-up. I followed up with the hiring manager 3 weeks later, but heard nothing, then again a bit later, still nothing. Two months later I still haven't received the generic form rejection letter, or anything.
