I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Pack-Smart
Interview
The interview was with main recruiter on the team. The interview was straight forward but lacked transparency on expectations on the applicant (ie first 30 days or first 3 months). everything was very generic.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pack-Smart (Concord, ON) in June 2021
Interview
My biggest issue was that this was supposed to be a Mechanical Design job but they changed it to a process engineer job. The initial HR call was not upfront about this.
Description of the interview:
Did 2 rounds. The second one was with several engineering team members and it was a standard interview discussing previous experience and design work.
The first interview however felt uncomfortable. Mixture of HR questions and technical, but some of the technical questions were things like "how many watts in a horsepower". Things that don't really demonstrate engineering competency. They also didn't do a good job allowing the candidate to highlight themselves, instead digging deep into obscure aspects of long ago jobs. I didn't understand why I was being asked specific performance metrics of past designs, when we could be discussing my more recent work.
