I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Palo Alto Networks (Santa Clara, CA) in Nov 2018
Interview
My initial conversation with the recruiter went really well, and I was told that they wanted to skip the call screening process and bring me directly in. This role is a newly created position after the acquisition of Redlock. It was definitely something I was excited about and was confident my skills would transfer easily. I met with one director and a lead, both were nice I feel we had a great connection. I was told that the next person would make the final decision and he's looking for something specific. What that specific was? Who knows!
Rather than focusing on my contributions, he insisted on knowing the company revenues and insulting those revenues. I got the impression he had his mind made up before meeting me. He was not engaged and quite frankly, rude. All of this could have been carried out over the phone, instead of having me endure a drive during high traffic times on a Friday afternoon.
There's a reason why there is still a requisition is still open since November. It's hard to believe it's the talent pool.

Interview
Initially HR told that they can offer visa sponsorship and moved me to next technical round of interviews. After 2 round of interviews when the technical panel and the hiring manager was very happy with me as I was exactly in line with their requirement, it was silence for more than 2 weeks with no communication from HR. After couple of follow ups I was told that even though I was good they went ahead with local candidate as they need not worry about the visa sponsorship. When it was made clear in the screening round itslef that I needed visa to work for the company and giving all the interview, response from them is not what I expected.

Interview
Diverse team interviewed me for my role. I would say the interview process from start to offer was a great experience. While Palo Alto took almost a month to reach out to me via a phone call for the recruiter call, the entire process that followed took only 2-3 weeks before we finalised the offer.
The Talent Acquisition team took extra care to share the feedback from the interview panel, and took steps to ensure I felt confident with the offer.
Needless to say, I accepted the offer without hesitation. This pleasant interview experience speaks volumes about Palo Alto Networks. I'm excited to start my career here.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Palo Alto Networks in June 2022
Interview
Somewhat unprofessional experience from hiring managers and the recruiting team involved. Very low engagement and I asked the majority of questions. Not sure morale is great within this company based on some subtle hints one interviewer offered me during the interview. I oddly felt like she was trying to warn me in a way as a fellow woman of color about the company culture. It left me feeling unsure about continuing on with the process and investing my time.
