I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Palo Alto Networks (Santa Clara, CA) in July 2019
Interview
I met with each of the hiring manager (VP of HR), Chief People Officer, and a leader in the business with whom I would work with frequently in the role. I was also scheduled for another interviewer, who didn't show up. I asked about it at the front desk after it had been 15 minutes, who said that I was probably ok to head home. I made it halfway back to my home in traffic before they called me to attempt to get me back in for a final interview. Due to this lack of planning, I chose to self-select out and informed the recruiter to remove my name from consideration.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about my strategy around insights vs. analytics and how I planned for the function to partner/work with Business Partners.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Palo Alto Networks (Tel Aviv) in Dec 2025
Interview
The interview began with an explanation of the intended role, the team I would manage, key topics, responsibilities, and related aspects. This part took approximately 10 minutes.
After that, we moved on to a technical professional question. It seemed that the interviewer had a predefined sequence of steps he wanted to go through. He was not very flexible, even when my answers provided a solid solution, but arrived “too early” in his expected flow (i.e., I presented a more advanced and comprehensive solution, while he was looking for a simpler and more incremental one).
At times, it was difficult to understand what exactly the interviewer was aiming for in some of the questions. In addition, some questions mixed technical, product, and business aspects, and shifted rapidly between these domains. This created some confusion regarding what type of answer was expected from me at each stage.

After we discussed the structure of a sample system, I was asked to estimate how long it would take to develop it
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Palo Alto Networks in Aug 2022
Interview
5-6 calls total including recruiter, hiring manager, skip level and few other folks from parallel departments. All interviews went well one after the other. Recruiter suddenly just stopped replying. I followed up a few times and emailed hiring manager as well but no reply. Didn't expect this from Palo Alto Networks. Have the courtesy to close the loop with the candidate and please respect everyone's time.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Palo Alto Networks (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2019
Interview
Great interview with 3 people ,
Including HR. All said I was a fit , then a rejection.
Company claims they are working harder to include women , especially minorities but this is not the case. I’ve been rejected twice. A recruiter from another company said Palo is yet to break even and it was probably a blessing in disguise . This woman will not be seeking employment with Palo Alto Networks again.
