Overall the start of the process with the recruiting lead was great, the person really understood my skills and what I could bring to the table. Shortly after the second interviewer, personally speaking I don't think she really understood what I could bring to the table, and also seemed already like she made up her mind, even at the start of the conversation. She barely made eye contact with me and looked uninterested to be completely candid. I didn't feel she was interested in my candidacy. I don't think she was the really the right person for a second round, I would have preferred a more senior leader who actually would appreciate my background and what I have to offer. I also wanted to add my experience was far more than the second round interview, so perhaps she was intimated with me outshining her. That honestly is my honest assessment here. A shame, I really would have loved the role, but can understand the insecurities of potential team mates that have less experience than myself and feel intimidated by my leadership skills.
