Applied online, and about 3 days later I got an email about an interview just after the lunch rush (about 2pm), talked to the store manager for about 20 minutes, asked me about previous work experience, why I like Panda Express, what I'm bringing to the "team" and my availability. About 2 days later I got a call back from the manager telling me I was hired, started 3 days later and did the intro and background check on the same day. However, I will say that it has not been a good experience working here. The manager tries to be accommodating, but he constantly changes the schedules, calls you in on days off (on my days off I have class, and he holds it against me), talks about employees behind their backs, makes you stay until 2am-3am despite only being scheduled until 10:30pm and worst of all, a hypocrite. He will stop you and tell you that you're not doing something right, but then 5 minutes later he will do the exact same thing. He tells you not to talk about other "team members" in a negative way, and then as soon as they leave he complains and tells everyone what a terrible "team member" they are. Also the whole "team" mentality is a joke, no one gets along with each other, everyone always has an attitude and a few times a week "team members" will go at it in the middle of the store in front of other "team members" and customers. As soon as I get approved at another job I applied for in New Rochelle, I'm leaving here and not looking back.
