I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Panera Bread (Citrus Heights, CA) in Apr 2013
Interview
Very simple and low level. Management asks a few questions regarding education and work experience as well as how you would handle stressful situations at work and how well you work with others in a professional environment. If you seem competent and they like you they will call you back. In my experience, management hires more women than men.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Panera Bread (Orlando, FL)
Interview
The interview was sitting down with the general manager. The job offered on the spot. Cafe associates were largely high school students. Interview reflected ability to show up on time and be trainable.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Panera Bread (Melbourne, FL) in Mar 2025
Interview
Interviewer (who was the manager at the time) was a nice person, charming in the way he spoke, understanding, a good listener, and good speaker. I didn't get the job, but he was still very charitable when interviewing me.
I applied online and was reached out for an interview a couple days later. We briefly went over my resume and talked about availability and interest. The meeting with the general manager was only about 15 minutes - 30 minutes long.
