I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Paper Source (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2017
Interview
I applied on the company website and interviewed at the store location in person. The store manager interviewed me and was a pleasant person. I had to wait a while in the shop because they were busy at my scheduled appointment time. During the interview I was mainly asked about my experience, and flexibility with hours. It was for part-time and they were only offering about 12 hours a week, and the pay was surprisingly lower than I anticipated, so I wasn't interested anymore after the interview. I also got the sense that they were looking for college-age students, so I didn't fit the profile.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked about my customer service experience and time management. It was a traditional retail job interview, no surprises or weird questions. It lasted about a half hour.
Quick to schedule interview and very thorough and kind during the process. Open to answer questions and concerns, very clear on what they are looking for and the next steps.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Paper Source (Seattle, WA) in June 2021
Interview
One interview with management. Plus, if you are a creative I think! Process was easy and not stressful. My manager was not great but not horrible by any means. Would recommend working there but not long term.
nice and friendly, detailed, employee community is important, really focused on work ethic and ambition and how you will click with the customers and other employees. manager was really nice and understanding and willing to work with me about conflicts
