I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Parker Hannifin (Grand Rapids, MI)
Interview
Messy, would say interviewers selected are part of the problem. Multiple in person rounds on same day with little insight into what candidate is walking into to prepare. Different interviewers frequently stated they were not looking for the same thing thing that the person this position reports to is, making conversations very conflicting, and hard to strike a balance on how skillset could meet need. Interviewers also looked disengaged, and repeated the same (sometimes useless) exact questions several times throughout various rounds. Was also asked how I would handle a direct reports schedule, when I didn’t even know the shift schedules or position schedule yet. Did not feel prepared to answer these questions. Almost all interviewers for my rounds said they do not have work life balance and haven’t in a long time, not really selling the role or company either. I’d suggest thinking through order of interview rounds to help slowly expose candidate to groups, and if it isn’t a match don’t waste the candidate time any further. Also incorporate better interviewers, better questions that are different for each group, and sit in to be sure they are effective in their participation.

Question 1
Would you change my work schedule if you were my manager?
The interview process is through and usually includes all parties invested in the job posting. This helps get a sense of the not only the location where the job will sit but the company as a whole.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Parker Hannifin in Aug 2024
Interview
My first and only interview was done virtually. The interview seemed to go well but I never heard back from anyone after that. I was hoping to at least get an email or a notification saying I had been de-selected but never received anything even after sending an email looking for an update.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Parker Hannifin (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2021
Interview
First, I had a phone screen with an external recruiter. Then, he worked directly with Parker to schedule in-person interviews with several members of site leadership. On-site interviews consisted of two panel interviews (3-4 leaders in each), and I knew who I'd be speaking with.
