Dear “Anonymous,”
We understand your frustration and want to clarify that we clearly stated in multiple places within the job ad that our attorney positions require on-site work in New Mexico, and that we offer relocation assistance. The reason you saw the job listed under Boston is due to Indeed’s algorithm, which only allows one city to be selected per posting—it was not an attempt to mislead anyone. We have worked closely with Indeed to do all we can to clarify, but Indeed’s framework is fixed.
Additionally, our application process includes a mandatory question asking if candidates are willing to relocate, ensuring transparency from the start. As for the salary range, it reflects potential earnings based on performance, which is a common practice in job postings and is often standard in personal injury firms.
As for demonstrating legal competence, attention to detail is the most important thing we measure during the initial stages of the application process. An attorney who makes it to the next stages in our process will certainly have the opportunity to both ask questions about how we practice law, and demonstrate his or her competence and success in our area of law.
We strive to be upfront and honest in our hiring process, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify this. Wishing you the best in your job search!
